Welcome to the showbull website.

My name is Paul Charwin and i live in the beautiful village Pencoed in South Wales. I have owned bred and showed bulldogs since 1987.
They have always been a passion of mine and i have been very fortunate to have some lovely dogs over the years.
My love affair with bulldogs started when i was given a bulldog as part payment for a building job that i was doing in London, we brought her home and named her Maggie her show name was Southgate Wilma.
Maggie was put to Aldridge Apperlation and out of the litter of 7 we kept two for ourselves, Showbull Mr Dewil and Showbull Baroness, from then on i was hooked.
I purchased 2 French Bulldogs to add to the clan ( Norman and Mini-Me ) who also did well in the showring.
I started judging in 1992 and have enjoyed every moment of it.
I also became very involved with working breeds i.e Leonbergers and Dogue De Bordeaux's and Newfoundlands.
I have lost count of how many dogs i have judged over the years , it must run in to the hundreds.
When i met my partner Sam Deary she has newfoundlands and so today we have both breeds.
Over the years we have made many genuine friends in the bulldog world and living so close to Pat Deller ( Merriveen ) for so many years got to see and handle most of her lovely dogs at stud and learn a great deal from one of the most established kennels in the world.
Here at Showbull we strive for health , soundness and breed standard.
